'Blue Pyjamas' now available

Jalal Barzanji's new book "The Man in Blue Pyjamas" will be made available for sale at most remaining LitFest events.

Thanks to everyone who attended the launch of Jalal Barzanji's prison memoir The Man in Blue Pyjamas on Monday night, and congratulations to everyone who snagged one of the copies.  For those who did not get a copy of this extraordinary story, LitFest will have copies on hand at most of our remaining festival events.

 

Congratulations to Jalal, to his translator Sabah Salih, and to the University of Alberta Press for the careful crafting of a beautiful new work that speaks both to the triumph of imagination over brutality, and represents the hopes of an entire community here in Edmonton.
